Aging and Disability Resource Centers (ADRC)

With DCOA funding, TERRIFIC, Inc.’s Ward One, Two and Four ADRC’s plan and deliver direct services (meals; nutrition education, health promotions and counseling; comprehensive assessments and case management; recreation and socialization services; caregiver respite and other services) to older adults and their families. TERRIFIC, Inc.’s goal is for seniors to age in place while living vibrant and active lives.

Our DCOA funded Congregate Meals Programs (Meals with Friends) are served in group settings five days weekly and Saturdays at Wellness Centers.

These meals comply with Dietary Guidelines for Americans, published by the Secretaries of the Department of Health and Human Services and the United States Department of Agriculture. Our Homebound Meal Program delivers hot meals to elderly and disabled individuals who are unable to shop for and/or prepare food themselves, or travel to a site where a meal is being served. This service is also available on weekends.  All meals contain one-third the recommended daily allowance of nutrients.

  1. Good AFternoon,

My name is Charletta Torney, Community Inclusion Manager for Volunteers of America, Chesapeake. I am looking for a senior center for my individuals who attend the active day treatment program.

Most of the individuals are non verbal and require wheelchair access. Would you happen to have events that they can attend?

    Thanks for your help
